Guide to Egypt Part 1

This is an account of a 13-day cruise down the Nile from Abu Simbel near the border with Sudan to Cairo. This book, part 1, deals with the Great Temple and the Temple of Hathor at Abu Simbel, the High and the Low Aswan Dam, the city of Aswan and the temple of Kom Ombo. A visit to the island of New Philae, to Elephantine island and the Nubia Museum are described in detail. The appendices are for those with a special interest in the history of ancient Egypt and Nubia. Hopefully the book may assist those on a self-guided tour to  the upper reaches of the Egyptian Nile valley.
