Descrição da editora

How Hattie Helped the Holidays is a loving tribute to Dr. Seuss, written for children and adults. The citizens of Rudeville, or Rudies, are self-obsessed and concerned more with the things their money can buy than the kindness in their souls. In fact, they throw away that kindness daily and in large amounts. Hattie is a homeless waif who discovers the discarded humanity as she searches trash cans for treasures. She tries to return it but is met with people who find her annoying. As any child might do, Hattie tells on the Rudies to Santa Claus, wondering how they deserve any presents. Then, Santa hatches a plan to teach the Rudies to appreciate their ability to care. In some ways, How Hattie Helped the Holidays is a revisit to Dr. Seuss's How the Grinch Stole Christmas over 50 years later, but the citizens are now the Grinches and the outsider, Hattie, must teach the lesson.
