Illustrating the Caribbean nature 494 years later after Gonzalo Fernández de Oviedo chronicles‪*‬

Robinson School students looked into Gonzalo Fernández de Oviedo chronicles of The General Natural History of the Indies, published in 1526, to illustrate the same flora and fauna described by Oviedo, but not with outsiders' eyes but as natives who understand and learn from their environment. The students researched the Caribbean biodiversity, studied, applied drawing techniques, and used innovative tools to give their illustrations life.
