There was a lot to uncover with this book being the first in a series and I can say that Carly succeed. We’ve got a little glimpse of everyone in the family, Linc, Xander, Chloe, Dash and even Aurora! I’m so happy to see what happened with her and her introduction to the family. It made me want to read all of their books, but now it’s Linc’s time, the older one of the group and the one who was the head of the business of their deceased awful dad.
Linc is dealing a lot, he needs to put the business back on track after their dad almost destroyed everything and now he found out that he has a half sister, Aurora, who he never met and was left hanging dry by their dad. Good thing he has his childhood best friend slash personal assistant slash his everything, at his side. Seriously he would be in bad sheets without her.
I loved Jordan so much, how independent and strong she was. Even though she’s been at his side for her whole life, people doesn’t let her forget that their are from very different worlds, that said, she was their maid daughter. I hated that for her, because she was so much better than any of those people who said those things to her. Anyway when things got rough for Linc, they finally crossed the friendship line and explored their chemistry.
My only hesitation was regarding the pregnancy thing that we were promised. I hoped it happened sooner and were more developed, because I thought it would start around half of the book and honestly, it was almost at the end. Other than that I loved everything and can’t wait to read the other stories!
