Obadiah

An extensive explanation of the literal, historical, and symbolic interpretation of the Book of Obadiah. This is a book of judgment on Edom for their pride and serves as an example for all of us.
The book starts with God stating how he was going to destroy Edom, and that this destruction would be greater than the one that most enemies or thieves would inflict upon them. Then God relates the reasons for this judgment, Edom's treachery against Israel and the Southern Kingdom of Judah, and their excessive pride. Then God expands the judgment to include all nations by describing the Day of Yahweh. This includes the restoration of Israel and Yahweh becoming king of all the earth.
