On the Road

All that glitters isn't gold. Sometimes it's just plastic. 

I'm living my rock star dream, so I should be happy, right? Except it doesn't take me long to figure out it's not all it's cracked up to be. Our manager is a controlling a-hole, and I'm ready to kill our vocalist, who thinks she's God's gift to the world.

But that's not even the worst of it.

With little supervision and too much freedom comes trouble. Because rock 'n roll's companions are sex and drugs, I and my bandmates discover them quickly. Before long, my dream becomes a dark nightmare.

The one glimmer of hope in my life is CJ, but our relationship is flimsy at best. When I give him my body, he takes my heart and I soon realize that he won't commit.

And I refuse to admit I want more.

As my world spirals out of control, I wonder if I'll be able to save my band, my friends, and my bleeding heart before it's too late…
