Descrição da editora
With 21 years of activity, 28 books published, and more than 300,000 copies distributed, along with 119 courses and 164 workshops delivered, the Instituto de Embalagens has built a solid trajectory dedicated to disseminating knowledge and advancing the sector. Throughout this journey, more than 22,000 professionals have been trained, strengthening the packaging industry around the world.
Faced with current challenges and the growing importance of sustainability, the Instituto de Embalagens identified the need to bring together, in a single volume, the key concepts, practices, and reflections on the subject. This book was created to meet that need: a clear, unbiased, and accessible reference designed to support professionals who develop packaging, both in the converting industry and in consumer goods manufacturing.
The content addresses the central themes of sustainability as applied to packaging and is complemented by a guide for developing better packaging. It also presents case studies and real examples of solutions that have already reduced environmental impact, translating concepts into practice.
This work reflects the belief that has guided the Instituto de Embalagens since its founding: Better Packaging. Better World, the guiding purpose of its educational and research activities.
The book features contributions from experienced authors working in the industry, ensuring depth, relevance, and up-to-date perspectives, all presented clearly and straightforwardly for packaging converters and consumer goods companies.
This publication is bilingual (Portuguese–English) and is also available as an e-book in both languages. All titles in the collection can be accessed on the official platform: www.betterpackagingbetterworld.com.
With its ongoing commitment to sharing knowledge and contributing to the growth of the packaging sector, the Instituto de Embalagens reaffirms, through this work, its belief and purpose: Better Packaging. Better World.
