Descrição da editora

Princess Henny and the Wonky Eggs is a light-hearted illustrated story told in rhyme. It celebrates wonky eggs and all things that look imperfect on the outside, but are great on the inside!  This uplifting tale is a new and relevant interpretation of the old adage 'don't judge a book by its cover'. It encourages children to eat wonky food, fruit and vegetables.

Princess Henrietta was a happy hen who loved her life on a free-range egg farm in the English countryside. One day, she was distressed to find that she had laid a wonky egg instead of her usual perfect one. In typical drama queen-style, she over-reacts and fears the worst. Luckily, Princess Henny is helped by her friends on the farm and a visiting television news reporter and film crew. She discovers that farm shop customers love buying and eating wonky eggs -- in fact, they are best-sellers! And why not? Wonky eggs taste just as good as perfect ones (and cost less)!

This story was inspired by the hens, animals and birds at Riverways Farm in Berkshire (UK) where the author used to buy eggs for her family. It will appeal to children in the 3-8 years age range.
