“Something Sensical” serves as a compilation of works from author Jake Horvitz’s time studying in Europe. It includes several travel essays as well as a brief film dialogue, accompanied throughout by unique and creative photographs by Phil Heller.


Thematically the piece focuses primarily on reconciling a sense of irony with new, profound, and touristy experiences, and attempts to demonstrate art as the solution to the conundrums created by this form of neurotic self-consciousness.


It is the first book by Jake Horvitz.
