Stealing Destiny

Billie D’Angelo renews the war between the North and South when she attempts to steal her horse from the Yankee officer who commandeered him during the war. Billie is determined to get Destiny, the former pride of her father’s stable, back by any means possible. The war took her family, their horse breeding farm, and all the horses. Destiny is all she has left. When Grayson Vanderlyn foils her attempt to take Destiny, Billie’s glad she wore the ragamuffin disguise she used during the war.  


Grayson admires the courage of the slender youth who traveled so far to reclaim Destiny. He ought to turn the rapscallion over to the authorities, but he doesn’t. Something about the boy intrigues him. 


The reprieve offers Billie a second chance and she steals Destiny. Grayson not only follows her, he discovers she is a lovely young woman. He’s stunned and utterly smitten. All he wants is Billie by his side, but he isn’t the only one who wants her. A man from her past wants her dead.
