The time frame spans from Spears's childhood in Louisiana in the 1980s to the final stages of the "Free Britney" movement in 2021, with stops in Vegas and at the VMAs in between, and the focus remains squarely on Spears's lack of control—over her fraying family of origin, her public image, and eventually, her own life. Key revelations include the at-home abortion Spears underwent at the urging of then-boyfriend Justin Timberlake, the casual drinking she engaged in with her mother as a young teen (even as her father was gripped by alcoholism), and the sordid details of the rehab stints she endured at the behest of her father, who insisted she wasn't mentally well enough to drink coffee or drive a car even as he profited from the Las Vegas residencies he signed her up for. Such an authentic writing and inspirational story… Britney is a legend not only for her music but also for enduring and being able to reinvent herself and face the world ahead of her after being through all of that. Phoenix. No one should ever need to be that strong… I am glad she was nevertheless. We all hope you find your way back and live the life you have always deserved and worked for. Forgiving does not mean forgetting but still means healing. Be happy and fearless, Brit ! We will always be here for you.

Britney was brutally criticized by media all her life since she was a young teenager. People talked about her body, her image, her virginity (!!!) and it just got worse over time. Everything that she’s suffered during the 13-year-conservatorship was a brutal crime. A crime to human’s rights. Her family, her team and all of those people who were involved in that awful situation around her are criminals. They assassinated her passion for music and performing. It is our time to say sorry and support her now that she finally decided to share her truth in her own terms. This book is more than a memoir, is a proof that her life and survival is a MIRACLE. We love and will always love you, BRITNEY JEAN SPEARS!

What an inspiring story! I’ve been a Britney fan since the “…Baby One More Time” days and always had such an admiration for her not only as an artist, but also as a person. She has always been so sweet. I couldn’t have imagined that so many people had tried to destroy her spirit for so damn long. My heart goes out to you, Britney. I hope you find what you looking for, whatever that. My respect and admiration have only grown. You really are the Phoenix of Pop. ♥️
