This is the Ocean that sustains an intricate web of life!

From the smallest plankton to the mightiest whale, the ocean swirls with a colorful circle of life, a circle powered by the radiant Sun. This Is the Ocean from Science, Naturally! is a marine biology book for kids that reveals how sunlight fuels the food chains of a vibrant underwater ecosystem. Through Elizabeth Everett's rhythmic storytelling and Evelline Andrya's captivating illustrations, young readers swim alongside swarming krill, elusive seals, and clever octopuses, discovering how every creature, from tiny to mighty, is part of a delicate balance. The companion book to This Is the Sun, this kids' ocean book makes oceanography, marine food chains, and environmental science accessible, rhythmic, and fun.
