THIS IS US: Robert E. Lee High School

Robert E. Lee High School, with more than 1,700 students and 170 staff members, is in Goose Creek CISD, where learning is a personal experience for each student. Every student learns with a school-issued iPad, while teachers use iPad and Apple TV to help facilitate learning. Teachers and students use a variety of classroom curriculum spaces outside the classroom and virtual environments to support instructional practices and learning goals. Students are engaged in collaboration and teamwork through the use of iPad. For example, in Culinary Arts students use iPad to create how-to recipe videos using iMovie and Clips to share their knowledge on creating a variety of dishes. Learning for teachers is embedded into the school culture. Teachers participate in digital badge challenges and professional development to help increase their technology skills.
