Three Steps: The Journeys of Ayrold

Harry Corsi remembers little of his youth due to the fever which wiped out most of his childhood memories. That was over twenty years ago. Now he is nearly thirty five years old, a widower and works as a file clerk for a prominent attorney in metropolitan Washington, D.C.

Lately he has been haunted by nightmares of winged ladies, his deceased wife and a vile demon with long, curved horns. A psychic psychologist, a strange woman, a cheerful little man and an aging spiritualist attempt to aid him as he travels from the nation's capitol to the small rural community of Sherwood, Ohio. But his journey is just beginning for Sherwood in America, Shire Wood in Ireland and Schurr Wood in Germany are connected planes of existence with only three steps between them.

Arienne, the elf queen of the Sidhe, is being forced into a marriage with Hillsrod, the dwarf king; she was to wed Prince Ayrold before his disappearance. The marriage to Hillsrod will leave her powerless. The Tuatha de Danann, the leprechauns of Ireland, are under siege by the same dwarves. The leprechaun's hidden gold is to be plundered as the spoils of war for its purity and ease of access.

An evil enchantress, Iardyth, the renegade and wayward student of Soth, the last super wizard, makes her move on mankind using the dwarves as a cover.

But everything is not as it appears. Leprechauns are dwarves, dwarves are ogres; so obviously giants are leprechauns. Can a good elf be a bad elf? Can an enchantress be somebody else? Even the dragon has a secret. This is a who is who guessing game.

Oh, wait. Prince Ayrold was lost twenty years ago, ripped from the fabric of fantasy. He was the Defender Consort of Queen Arienne and a friend of the Tuatha de Danann.

Can Prince Ayrold be found? Will he return? Can he stop the dwarves and the enchantress? Also, can Harry Corsi find his memories in this mess?

A major battle is at hand. The Emerald Isle is about to turn ruby red with blood.
