Travels through the Empire of Morocco

Descrição da editora

This is an eyewitness account of an extended visit to Morocco in 1805 and 1806 by an English doctor. It contains a comprehensive account of life among the inhabitants, as well as the history and all other aspects of the country. There are a number of amusing anecdotes, such as the one about the Jew who was thrown to a hungry lion, but the lion refused to eat him. The reader may be a bit confused about Marrakesh being called Morocco, but it is from this that the country derived its name.
