What if you went to a school where it was actually all right to be who you really are? That's the enchanting place David Levithan has created in his highly acclaimed first novel. But even if the gay kids and the straight kids all get along just fine, even if it's all right for the quarterback to be a cross dresser named Infinite Darlene and the cheerleaders to ride Harleys into the pep rally, the road to true love is still a strange and winding path, as Paul discovers when he meets the boy of his dreams.
Charming, funny, delightful, and utterly heartwarming, this YA novel speaks with clarity and depth about our need to love and be loved.

APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
This lighthearted YA novel set in a dreamy queer utopia feels like a classic teen movie. Romantic sparks fly between New Jersey teens Paul and Noah, but even in their LGBTQ-friendly town, relationships can still get complicated. Paul is crushed when misunderstandings and rumours drown their budding relationship too soon, but the big dance coming up might just give their love a second chance to bloom. David Levithan does an uncanny job of capturing teen voices, from the thoughtful and concerned Noah to the hyper-sarcastic Paul—who can punctuate even the heaviest moment with a joke. And narrator Nicholas Robideau nails all of the characters’ big and small emotions so completely, we often forgot that we were listening to just one person. You don’t have to be a teen to enjoy escaping into Boy Meets Boy.
