The Thrawn trilogy is in a class of its own when it comes to the expanded Star Wars universe. When I read these books in the 90s, I literally could not put them down. To this day, like Lord of the Rings, I reread the Thrawn Trilogy every few years.

The audiobook version is brilliant; the reader acts out all the characters with incredible skill, and the music and sound effects add colour to the performance making you feel like you're listening to a movie.

This definitely is one of those books that If I was stuck on a desert island, I'd want to have with me…. on my iPhone (hopefully with access to a solar panel and 3G :)
