Emily Carr

Emily Carr was born in Victoria in western Canada in 1871. From an early age, she loved drawing. She studied art in the United States, England, and France. She spent her life painting landscapes of Canada and the people and villages of the First Nations. Emily Carr died on March 2, 1945.
