Best of the series
This is a brilliant and suspenseful work of fiction that felt in all the ways the matters, like a true telling of the chaos and heartbreak caused by the Afghan withdrawal. That Bentley weaves together an amazing white knuckle thriller around this backdrop is powerful. He takes great care to offer differing insights into the ways in which these events were experienced by its many characters. Something which gives it a clarity and heart as moving as any authors can ever hope for.
Forgotten war will not disappoint. The stakes are great, it’s compelling and man, does it move. Best of the Matt Drake series so far!
