"Fourth Wing will have your heart pounding from beginning to end ... A fantasy like you've never read before."?Jennifer L. Armentrout, #1 New York Times bestselling author
Enter the brutal and elite world of a war college for dragon riders from USA Today bestselling author Rebecca Yarros.
Twenty-year-old Violet Sorrengail was supposed to enter the Scribe Quadrant, living a quiet life among books and history. Now, the commanding general—also known as her tough-as-talons mother—has ordered Violet to join the hundreds of candidates striving to become the elite of Navarre: dragon riders.
But when you’re smaller than everyone else and your body is brittle, death is only a heartbeat away … because dragons don’t bond to “fragile” humans. They incinerate them.
With fewer dragons willing to bond than cadets, most would kill Violet to better their own chances of success. The rest would kill her just for being her mother’s daughter—like Xaden Riorson, the most powerful and ruthless wingleader in the Riders Quadrant.
She’ll need every edge her wits can give her just to see the next sunrise.
Yet, with every day that passes, the war outside grows more deadly, the kingdom’s protective wards are failing, and the death toll continues to rise. Even worse, Violet begins to suspect leadership is hiding a terrible secret.
Friends, enemies, lovers. Everyone at Basgiath War College has an agenda—because once you enter, there are only two ways out: graduate or die.
APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
Enter an intense world of love, danger, and dragons in this enticing romantic fantasy. Violet Sorrengail hoped to follow in her late father’s footsteps and become a scribe, but her fierce mother—the general of the kingdom of Navarre—has other ideas. She forces Violet to enter the cutthroat fight to become one of the elite dragon riders who are sworn to protect the kingdom, putting her in danger…and in the crosshairs of a brutal but undeniably sexy rival. Rebecca Yarros expertly blends epic world-building and a simmering enemies-to-lovers romance, and narrator Rebecca Soler captures all the excitement and sizzle with her expressive reading. The impressive depth of Violet’s character really comes through in audio, too: you can hear her steely determination and her belief in herself despite her physical limitations. Fans of the Hunger Games or Sarah J. Maas’ Throne of Glass series will love diving into this fascinating, violent world.

A great dragon adventure, been missing in the world
This is right in the sweet spot it D&D adventure, coming of age trials & tribulations, and a new interesting magical world to get in to. Great story, and honestly I have listened to 100s of books and the voice acting is well done. (To Some other comments: I’m not sure what other voice narrators you’re comparing her too, but she is great IMO.)
Definitely an adventure and highly recommend diving in with both feet. Enjoy!
Narration Great! Audio Line up not so great
The start of each chapter does not match up with the chapter title. Now I’ve only noticed this on chapter 32 going into 33 (as I ran out of streaming hours on Spotify) but the last 3 minutes of chapter 32 are actually the first 3 minutes of chapter 33
Excellent title, excellent audiobook
Great story, gripping, exciting, relatable FL main character. Somewhat cardboard cut ML but whatever. The reading was excellent, and even if there was a sniffle here and there, the action scenes, fighting and… otherwise… were narrated as if from a pro football commentator, with speed and intensity that makes the scenes come alive. Please keep this reader for the series!
