As the daughter of the almost mythical Elvis, Lisa Marie Presley was a subject of fascination for her tragically too-short life. In this incredible book, her daughter, actress Riley Keough (Daisy Jones & The Six), completes the memoir Lisa Marie hadn’t yet finished when she died suddenly in 2023. Offering an intimate look behind that mythical curtain, Lisa Marie is candid in all her reflections, talking about how her childhood memories of her late dad somehow still feel perfect and ideal, even as she looks back at them in her fifties. It’s also eye-opening to hear how well Keough understood her mom. She’s the one who reflects on just how similarly headstrong Lisa Marie was to her own mother, Keough’s grandmother Priscilla Presley. Riley is beautifully sincere as she narrates her sections, and superstar Julia Roberts interprets Lisa Marie’s reflections with a groundedness that truly does justice to such a memorable and compelling human being.

Amazing
Omg, I’m not a bid reader but this book drew me in. Being able to hear their stories is amazing, and very emotional. Riley’s voice is emotional but so relaxing. In some cases I felt I was in the room with them as she was telling the story. AMAZING it’s a must!

Thank you Riley Keough for your courage to finish writing your mother's memoir and allowing readers to get a glimpse of what it was like growing up with a mother who devoted her llife to her children despite her own difficulties. Thank you Lisa Marie Presley for being authentic and real in telling your story in this memoir. May you rest in peace.
To potential buyers of this audiobook: buy it and listen for yourselves. As you listen to this audiobook, do not be quick to judge but be open minded and listen.
The only two things I did not like were both the swearing and not using enough of Lisa Marie's audio tapes in the audiobook. Thank you
