Publisher Description
From USA Today best-selling author Rina Kent comes a new stand-alone dark romance about a villain and his new obsession.
I caught the attention of a monster.
I didn’t ask for it. Didn’t even see it coming.
But the moment I do, it’s too late.
Killian Carson is a predator wrapped in sophisticated charm.
He’s cold-blooded, manipulative, and savage.
The worst part is that no one sees his devil side.
I do.
And that will cost me everything.
I run, but the thing about monsters?
They always chase.
This book is a dark unconventional romance and contains themes that aren't to everyone's liking. Please check the author's note in the ebook for content warnings before listening.

Captivating and Excellent Audio Production!
This is the first book in the Legacy series, a next generation series, interconnected with the Lies and Truths duet, the Royal Elite series/ Cruel King, and the Kingdom duet. It was so great to see again those characters years later! I like next generation series, and the first book in the Legacy series is a masterpiece. This book can be read on its own. For better understanding of the world, you might want to read the previous series. Glyndon and Killian’s story is dark, intense, and hot. They are opposites attract. Glyndon is beautiful, and fragile. She is Astrid and Levi's daughter from the Cruel King /Royal Elite series. Killian is enigmatic, dark, arrogant, ruthless, devious, and obsessive. He obviously has a personality disorder, and he definitely is a very interesting character. He is Asher and Reina’s son from Lies and Truths duet. The storyline is complex, emotional, and grippingly enthralling, filled with family drama, and unpredictable twists and turns. Their story is intense and very dark. Seeing Jonathan King (from the Kingdom duet)as Glyndon's Grandpa was marvelous! I liked the family bonds in this story. Glyndon and Killian’s brothers are interesting side characters, and I would love to know more about them. The cast of narrators is impressive. Sebastian York is phenomenal as Killian. He did an excellent job portraying this complex character. Josie Minor is a new narrator to me. She has a beautiful voice, very pleasant to listen to. She is perfect as Glyndon, impersonating her fragility, and her kindness. Aaron Shedlock, Wen Ross and Kylie Stewart are excellent impersonating the family members. This is an excellent audio production. If you like dark romance, and liked the previous series, you will love this next generation series. I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend it! Now, I need to revisit the original series, and I need more of the Legacy series! Looking forward to listening to God of Pain.
