The beginning of an incredible journey
This series has absolutely transported me into a fantasy world. You don’t have to know anything about D&D to enjoy it, and if you do, there are tons of little Easter eggs. The Legend of Drizzt has easily become one of my favourite series — I normally don’t read series longer than 4 books, but each arc draws me in. Characters are rich with depth, plots are intense, and the language is colourful with variety.
Victor Bevine is a fantastic narrator, and I’m thrilled that he’s done (almost) all the books.

Start of a great series
I remember reading this and the series that now comes before Icewind dale trilogy (published first). The story is still gripping with strong characters and tons of adventure adn intrigue. I strongly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys this type of genra.
Great Story
There were a few minor audio glitches but none lasted more then a second or two. Still a great story, I will be buying the next book.
