From 2008 to 2017, Luis Elizondo led a military intelligence program dedicated to the study of UFOs, or as proponents now refer to them, UAP (unidentified anomalous phenomena). To cut to the chase, Elizondo is a believer, and claims to have personal knowledge, much of it firsthand. This history hits on familiar sightings such as the 1947 Roswell incident but also goes in deep on lesser-known incidents, like a series of encounters in Brazil where dozens of people claimed to have seen or even been abducted by a variety of spaceships. Elizondo also talks about autopsies on alien bodies (they apparently have smooth brains), an incident near the beginning of the Iraq War where U.S. tanks appeared to have been blasted through with laser-like precision, and mysterious filaments that seem to move under their own power under a microscope (shudder). It’s up to the listener whether to believe Elizondo, but his matter-of-fact narration suggests that he’s convinced, and if nothing else, the whole thing is fascinatingly unnerving.
