Customer Reviews
Heavily biased & ego driven "guide"
I regularly read books on self development, religion, spirituality, new age & other sorts of books that might be considered "woo-woo", but this is definitely one id recommend skipping. While it has tiny bits of information that resonate or feel like truth it's so littered with ego-centered remarks & personal experiences that cannot be identified with from an outsiders perspective, that it just isn't an enjoyable read. This may just be poor communication on the writer's part but it makes it extremely difficult to maintain interest. It almost feels like "an American 'psychic' trying to convince Christian America to be open to spirits" and that dreams don't come from the devil and scientists are just skeptics and so logical that they don't accept spirituality at all. It's so black and white and biased and leaves little room to draw ones own opinions. I felt like someone was trying to brainwash me or convince me of something even though I already believe in spirit contact.
What made me laugh a bit is that the writer keeps asking you to analyze how you feel and after three days of listening to this audiobook the consensus is unanimous - I get a real sense of uneasiness coming from this book, like the author wrote it without fully understanding what she was talking about.
The narrators voice also feels strangely happily condescending. It's so grating it's painful, even sitting here holding Rose quartz against my heart chakra I find myself grinding my teeth.
This is definitely not a book id recommend to anyone.
