In Philadelphia, beloved Eagles quarterback Archie Hughes is murdered on the eve of an NFL playoff game, and all signs point to his superstar pop singer wife, Francine. The DA turns to private detective Veena Lion for help, while the family hires her rival, Cooper Lamb. More interested in the truth than in who’s paying them, the pair decide to join forces. The banter between these two made us think of classic TV shows like Moonlighting or Castle, where investigating a murder still leaves plenty of room for wisecracks.
