Publisher Description
Jordan B. Peterson's Maps of Meaning is now available for the first time as an audio download!
Why have people from different cultures and eras formulated myths and stories with similar structures? What does this similarity tell us about the mind, morality, and structure of the world itself? From the author of 12 Rules for Life: An Antidote to Chaos comes a provocative hypothesis that explores the connection between what modern neuropsychology tells us about the brain and what rituals, myths, and religious stories have long narrated. A cutting-edge work that brings together neuropsychology, cognitive science, and Freudian and Jungian approaches to mythology and narrative, Maps of Meaning presents a rich theory that makes the wisdom and meaning of myth accessible to the critical modern mind.
Includes a PDF of Images from the Book.

Fascinating and Well Researched
I admit this was a deeply fascinating audiobook and I commend the author/narrator (a rare thing in itself) for be as thorough as he was with his reading and sourcing. About the only objection I have is that between 2/3 and 4/5 of the way through the source seemed to be almost exclusively biblical. That being said if one doesn’t mind VERY dense reading material (ie reading material one needs to do source reading to fully appreciate) this is an excellent place to find yourself. Have a nice day.
Excellent book

A truly incredible work
This was not the easiest book to take on, but I found it worth the effort. The vast scope and detail contained in the book was revelatory. My previous and somewhat cynical view of human culture and religion was challenged, for the better. Upon completion of the book, I am hopeful that its basic message will remain with me as a positive influence in my future. Highly recommended.
