Narrator almost ruins the book
Love this book in the print version, but the audio version is ruined by a narrator with an arch, distant tone and no depth to her performance. All the characters sound the same with the exception of some having hoarser or more gritty voices. The narrator sounds both distant and as if she can’t believe what she is reading and feels that it’s stupid or ridiculous. This pretty much ruins the narration. The voice of the main character, the girl, is the least believable of all. What a pity.
