About the author
Alice Oseman was born in 1994 in Kent, England. She completed a degree in English at Durham University in 2016 and is currently a full-time writer and illustrator. Alice can usually be found staring aimlessly at computer screens, questioning the meaninglessness of existence, or doing anything and everything to avoid getting an office job. Alice's first book, SOLITAIRE, was published when she was nineteen.

Breaking up is hard to do—especially for the teen couple in this heartfelt YA novel. High school lovebirds Nick and Charlie are facing an inevitable crisis, with Nick preparing for university in the fall and Charlie dealing with his resentment over being left behind. With things already so tense, it only takes one drunken misunderstanding to push them to the point of officially breaking up…except that’s not what either of them actually wants. Heartstopper creator Alice Oseman nails many of the near-universal experiences that pop up in young relationships. As the boyfriends careen through the roller coaster of emotions, we felt like we were right there with them, hoping against hope for some kind of happy ending. Actors Huw Parmenter and Sam Newton expertly convey that desperate anxiety in their pitch-perfect narration.

reading along with the audio just made the book phenomenal, it really shows you the emotions nick and charlie both had throughout the chapters.

His voice is so comforting omg😭 It also fits both Charlie AND Nick for some reason??? SO GOOD!! Loved it :)
