Amazingly painful and hopeful
Everything I normally avoid in a story, but it is put together so beautifully, I couldn't look away!
This book has a dead ex, a broken heart, stubborn people, betrayal, pain, and a whole lot of tears. But it also has a second chance, sweetness, racing hearts, new beginnings, and a whole lot of hope. When all the bad is overwhelming, Danni focuses on the good. She does the good, appreciates the good, and finds the good. She has been to rock bottom and has to stop herself from going there again. She makes her choices, and grasps the little bit of control she has, to keep an even keel
Trace is the wild one, unpredictable, and overwhelming. Their outside appearances belie what is happening below the surface, and, once you get to the end of the book, and the cliffhanger, you realize how much has been boiling there all along
This story had everything I avoid in a book, but I'll keep coming back until all the stories are done, because the characters are just that amazing!
