Publisher Description
Stephen King’s #1 New York Times bestseller and “wild, powerful, disturbing” (The Washington Post Book World) classic about evil that exists far beyond the grave—now featuring a stunning vintage cover!
When Dr. Louis Creed takes a new job and moves his family to the idyllic rural town of Ludlow, Maine, this new beginning seems too good to be true. Despite Ludlow’s tranquility, an undercurrent of danger exists here. Those trucks on the road outside the Creed’s beautiful old home travel by just a little too quickly, for one thing…as is evidenced by the makeshift graveyard in the nearby woods where generations of children have buried their beloved pets. Then there are the warnings to Louis both real and from the depths of his nightmares that he should not venture beyond the borders of this little graveyard where another burial ground lures with seductive promises and ungodly temptations. A blood-chilling truth is hidden there—one more terrifying than death itself, and hideously more powerful. As Louis is about to discover for himself sometimes, dead is better…
APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
Stephen King has called Pet Sematary the most frightening book he’s ever written, and he’s not wrong—the horror these characters face is the crushing finality of death itself. Soon after moving to a small Maine town, doctor Louis Creed learns about a decades-old animal burial ground from his elderly neighbor. After unthinkable tragedy strikes, Louis finds out more than he wanted about the town’s creepy history. Actor Michael C. Hall (TV’s Dexter) performs the full cast of characters with an impressive array of New England accents. His skillful narration heightens King’s hideous vortex of gory horror and deep-seated regret.
Customer Reviews
Wow…Just Wow..
Michael C. Hall’s reading of this great book was amazing.
sad and creepy book
you want creepy you got it with this book. This book made me cringe countless times and gave me that spooky feeling throughout. The best way I can describe my feelings are like this: imagine walking alone through a cemetery at night alone…..its a little scary (unless I see a few dead people lurking around then a lot scary)……mostly its just very creepy. For me, this ranks as one of kings best in terms of creepiness, and some scariness shown in for good measure. This book shows how a good life can turn to a torturous existence in the blink of an eye.

I absolutely love this audiobook.
Michael C. Hall (Dexter) does a fantastic job narrating plus it’s Stephen King! :)))
