Publisher Description
The phone and the radio were dead, but they'd already heard the news: a mass murderer was on the loose. Hannah and her younger sister, Meg, were miles from the nearest neighbor, trapped in a raging blizzard, home alone. When two wounded, bleeding strangers show up, Hannah doesn't know whether to help them or turn them away.

distracting voice
I used to have this book and absolutely loved it but lost it while moving. I thought I'd buy the audiobook instead as I'm trying to accumulate less clutter. I'm glad I listened to the preview first. It is meant to be a creepy, scary story, but it sounds like it's being read by one of the ladies from Shaon Lois & Bram. The tone does not relfect the story at all. It's not meant to be raed to a five year old, its a scary story for young adults. The tone of the audio book ruins the story.
