Orange’s first book, There There, was a Pulitzer Prize nominee and winner of the 2019 American Book Award. Born and raised in Oakland, California, he is a graduate of MFA program at the Institute of American Indian Arts and an enrolled member of the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes of Oklahoma.
