Superb Production and Acting
Le Carré’s novels are incredible on their own, but the BBC has done them an amazing service by producing these stories into suspenseful drama. Some of the best actors in Britain are on these recordings and they bring the characters to life. Very well thought-out sound design makes the suspenseful scenes in these stories engrossing to hear and experience. Highly recommend.
Astoundly relevant
These are amazingly detailed stories that can be read, or listened to, many times. I listened to many of these tales, on BBC Radio 4, often to my chagrin, I would miss an episode, and it only occurred to me recently, to see if they were available in iTunes audiobooks. Now, I can listen to them at my leisure. These audiobooks are perfect for travel, waiting for an appointment or completing mindless tasks. They are enthralling, Mr. LeCarré is a brilliant story teller, he draws you into his tale and at times it is difficult to pull oneself away. This particular purchase is an excellent deal too, many books included in the one purchase price. I am indeed a very happy bunny.
