There’s a whole lotta love going on in Dream Harbor, the impossibly quaint small town where Laurie Gilmore sets her bestselling romance series. Book 5 focuses on Annie, who runs a bakery, and Mac, an annoying fellow business owner. Although, how annoying is he, really? And what will a forthcoming wedding in the town mean for them both? With enemies-to-lovers and second-chance romance tropes both in the (cake) mix, this is a cosy winter listen, perfect for snuggling up with on the sofa. The dual narrators really make the blossoming relationship come alive, ramping up the tension as the listener is granted access to the characters’ true feelings. The audiobook also includes an exclusive Q&A with the author, which is the cherry on top of this sweet treat of a listen.
