Churchill's history of the Second World War is, and will remain, the definitive work. Lucid, dramatic, remarkable for its breadth and sweep and for its sense of personal involvement, it is universally acknowledged as a magnificent reconstruction.
A must for history fans
How lucky the world is that a man who played a central role in both world wars happened also to be a Nobel prize winning author. The result is a set of memoirs that are beautifully written and highly informative. The narrator of these volumes does a fabulous job.
