A sexy stand-alone forbidden sports romance from number-one New York Times best seller Lauren Blakely, performed by Jason Clarke and Ava Erickson!
The woman I want is as off-limits as they come.
I had an excuse two years ago when I met her on campus. She interviewed me for a story on major league baseball's rising stars, and we shared a hot, passionate night that ended far too soon, and without a mention of who her father was.
Now I know the innocent but sexy woman I can’t stop thinking about is the coach's daughter.
That means her dad is the guy who determines if I bat fourth in the starting lineup in every game, or ride the bench.
All the more reason to resist alluring, confident, brainy Reese every time I run into the reporter-turned-sports publicist.
That ought to be easy enough, until she confesses she's still carrying her V card, and she’s been wanting me to cash it in since the day we met.
Staying away from her is going to be harder than resisting a fastball down the middle. Especially since I'm pretty sure she's the one who got away, and letting her slip through my fingers again would be a rookie mistake.
This is the second book in the Rules of Love Series, a Sports Romance. Holden and Reese's story is sweet, beautiful, and heartwarming. Holden is handsome, caring, and supportive. Reese is such a beautiful and strong character. They share an undeniable chemistry, and they are perfect together. I loved to follow them in their journey to love. The supporting characters are great. This is the perfect Summer Read. Jason Clarke and Ava Erickson did an amazing job with the narration.
The Virgin Game Plan
4 stars … The Virgin Game Plan (Rules of Love, 2) is a forbidden baseball romance that is told from the first-person point of view of Holden and Reese.
"I knew then that I'd want to be with you for the rest of my life. And since we've been together that had become clearer every single day."
Holden and Resse met while she was in college when she interviewed him for her podcast. While touring the campus they shared a soul-searing kiss and then as they spend time together they grow closer until she gets a job that takes her away for two years. When Reese returns, she and Holden connect again but now things are even more complicated because she is the coach's daughter.
Holden and Reese's story is sweet and entertaining. Holden was a sweetheart and I loved that he knew in his heart that he would see and be with Reese again. The side characters added some great banter and I am looking forward to more of their stories.
Audio … Jason Clarke and Ava Erickson did a great job bringing the story and their respective characters to life. I always enjoy listening to both of these narrators.
