APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
We were floored by this hard-hitting, action-packed epic fantasy, the third installment in Morgan Rice’s Kings and Sorcerers series. We follow teenager Kyra as she trains to join her father’s rebel army in their fight to overthrow a despotic ruler—and learns that her special powers may be even more powerful than she realized. Packed with heroic battles, mysterious magical beings, and even an army of trolls, Rice’s monumental fantasy is best enjoyed after reading the first book in the series, Rise of the Dragons, which will help you keep track of the multiple plotlines and far-flung locations. Narrator Wayne Farrell’s lyrical Irish accent seamlessly flows from character to character, whether he’s portraying a rage-filled dragon, a frightened young conscript, or a war-weary army captain. Fantasy lovers will savor all the suspense and action.
