In a quiet, picture-perfect village with rose-covered cottages and lush green lawns a young homeless man has arrived and set up his tent in the churchyard.

This isn't the kind of things that happens here. The locals are immediately divided between offering charity and viewing this stranger with suspicion.

Polly walks past the tent as she takes her twin girls to playgroup in the church hall. The thought of sleeping outside as the weather turns cold sends a shiver down her spine. She is ashamed how quickly she hurries her daughters away and inside.
