Trapped in Heaven

Lucie Talbot decides to establish a VIP house-sitting/safety company. At first her new idea fails, but she gets the chance to be responsible for Hepburn's island property on Barbados. She meets Matthew Hepburn. She thinks he's arrogant and haughty. Matthew seems antagonistic. Lucie finds out that Matthew was engaged but his fiancée cheated on him.She returns to the UK and thinks it's the end of her connections with the Hepburn family. It isn't they own various private residences worldwide and  Lucie can start her own company  when they give her a contract to check all of them. She checks a couple and reports back to the family.
She meets Matthew again and his mother. His mother arranges a social evening for a charity she supports. She expects Matthew to attend. He's reluctant because of the gossip columns and the paparazzi. Mrs Hepburn steamrolls him to bringing Lucie. Lucie helps to make the evening a success. Matthew thinks she's only out to impress him and his mother and is rude to her. 

Lucie sets off for the next family home in the Seychelles and from there to the Philippines where there's a house on an uninhabited island. A friend of Matthews flies Lucie to the island from Manila. Lucie is alone there until Matthew unexpectedly lands his own sea-plane on the beach. His mother was worried about Lucie because rebels are in the area and asked him to check on her. 
While he's there, rebels steal his plane The rebels also decide to come on land to see if there's anything else worth stealing. Matthew and Lucie are trapped and have to hide in the jungle. They find they like each other more than either of them admits. Lucie discovers that he's always had other ambitions than just the family business. The rebels leave and Matthew's friend arrives to fly them back to Manila. There, Matthew is ignores her again. He's her boss, and nothing more. Lucie is hurt by his changed attitude. 

Back in London later Mrs Hepburn invites Lucie and Matthew to lunch one day and Lucie shares his taxi afterwards. He unexpectedly kisses her and she is euphoric until he apologises for doing so. Lucie is dismayed and confused. When they get out of the taxi, Matthew's ex-fiancée turns up, and Lucie flees. Lucie decides she can't go on working for the Hepburns. When she takes her resignation to the company she's glad Matthew is away.
Lucie accepts a new security job, in Scotland. The owner has gone abroad and left the housekeeper in charge. The isolation suits Lucie perfectly. Until … one day suddenly Matthew turns up.He has some explaining to do. 

Even though Lucie  admits she loves him, she also tells him she'll never fit into his lifestyle. He explains he's leaving high-business and starting a charter company with his friend in the Philippines. Matthew just needs Lucie at his side to fulfill his lifelong dream of flying . Lucie's misgivings fade and they can plan a future together on their own special island.
