Publisher Description
Did the ancient Mayans predict that the "world will end" in 2012 - or is that a modern misinterpretation of their true message? Respected author and researcher John Major Jenkins goes to the source to find the surprising answers: the original Mayan calendar found in the city of Izapa.
Learn how the Mayan mystics based their myths and prophecies on a deep understanding of cycles, their beginnings, their endings, and how the impending cycle ending impacts our lives. According to Jenkins, the Mayan legacy offers the following teachings to help us understand 2012:
What is the Galactic Alignment? The astronomical phenomenon predicted by the Mayans, and how it will affect us.
Izapa as the origin place of the 2012 calendar and the "uncorrupted vision" of the early Mayan skywatchers.
Living at the end of a cycle and practices drawn from Mayan spirituality that we can apply in our everyday lives.
Beyond 2012 - transforming our consciousness so we can create and nurture a better world, and more.

Scary.
I don't like to think that the world is going to end, and I especially don't like to think that it's going to end on my 16th birthday.. But everyone would like to know the real truth, is the world really coming to and end? If you think about all of this, it's crazy. Your in this world for a reason, and you die for a reason as well, if you don't fufill your "needs" in life, life as we know it, will be gone forever. In this book it tells you that this is something we can prevent, but otherthings- we can't. But if we do prevent the things that we can- maybe something will change. -I ask you now to take a moment, and stare at a wall. Think about YOU, and how YOU will die in 2012, but not only YOU will be leaving us on this horrific date, everyone else will be too. Your friends, family and more. So please, get this or any good book about 2012, to understand about life and what we can do to prevent some things from happening.
-thankyou for your time.
