I usually don't like writing reviews, but I am extremely disappointed in the layout of this book, I just had to write.
In an instructional/reference book, such as this book is portrayed as being, one would like to think that it would "picture/show" how to perform the tasks as described. There isn't even a Table of Contents, not that it would help, unless you knew the name of the Cable pattern and what it looks like.
Well, just to be a little more clear.....
the only pictures in this entire book is the front cover and a repeat of the same picture on page 1. There are several (and I mean several) diagrams, the first, shows in which direction to place your hook for FPdc or BPdc, the next, shows where to place your hook if the directions say in front of, around, or behind the stitch, the other diagrams show how to whip stitch two blocks together or crochet two blocks together. There are no pictures or diagrams for the individual stitches or blocks, however, there is a link to a "numbered table" for placement of all 63 blocks to complete the afghan pictured on the cover of this book.
How disappointing when you're trying to learn something new!
