REVIEW: A CHRISTMAS RESCUE by Samantha Chase follows the acrimonious relationship between veterinarian Dr. Gavin Maguire , and office receptionist Bailey Walsh. The holidays are just around the corner, and Silver Bell Falls Pet Clinic has lost the Christmas spirit thanks to Dr. Gavin Maguire or Dr. Grinch as his employees have started to call him. Unable to stand Gavin’s Scrooge-like behaviour Bailey and the staff decorate the office for Christmas only to be threatened with their jobs within hours of arrival. Unwilling to stand down, Bailey hands in her resignation but quickly finds herself as the veterinarian’s assistant when a homeless lab goes into labor at a downtown shelter, and a snow storm shuts down Silver Bell Falls. What ensues is the quick building romantic relationship between Gavin and Bailey when Bailey becomes snowbound in Gavin’s apartment, and the potential fall-out as Gavin’s past continues to eat away at his heart and his soul.
