Awesome Indie Novel
I have read a few self-published books in the past year and this one was by far the best. This book shows that the days of judging a book by its publishing should be well and truly over.
I was hooked from the very beginning and felt the urge that every reader loves, the need to keep turning pages. The premise seemed pretty straight forward when I began but, without giving anything away, things quickly turned in a direction that I didn’t expect and I was even more intrigued.
There’s a wide array of characters here, some of whom I really enjoyed and couldn’t wait for them to reappear. The pace of the book was also really good, kept me thinking, and left me wanting more. I couldn’t put it down for the last third!
This book also spanned many different types of genres; thriller, mystery, espionage, and action. But unlike some other poor attempts I’ve read that tried to cover multiple fields, this one really succeeded. I will definitely read any future books by this author.
Great New Book
I read the paperback version of this book after friend lent it to me, raving about it. Although it's not the kind of book I usually read, I was immediately hooked as soon as I started. A mysterious beginning leads to developments that become more and more shocking, making it really hard to put down.
I really liked the female character and got excited every time she appeared. The large cast of secondary characters really added depth to the book. I enjoyed how it follows different characters through different story lines and all were exciting. I never had to skim a chapter just to get back to the exciting story line.
I didn't even realize that this was a self-published book until I was over half way done, but by then I didn't care. The action picks up near the end and you're never really sure what's going to happen. I finished it feeling satisfied and eager for the next one to come out.
