A PREACHER'S DAUGHTER

As she struggles with life after the death of her mother, Uriah searches through her past to see where she went wrong in order to set things right, all in hope to see her mother again in heaven. As a preacher’s daughter, she is raised up in the church and taught how to live a Christian life.  However, during her teenage years, she turned away from her religious beliefs and succumbed to fleshly desires, which led her into a life full of sex, lies, deceit, and physical and emotional abuse.  After finally getting fed up with the way her life was going, Uriah finds the strength to love herself enough to make things better.  Just as she progresses, she is hit with another tragic loss.  Will this tragedy force her to give up on the God she was taught to believe in, or will she depend even more on Him to get her through?


Beverly Ligon was born and raised in Apopka, Florida.  After graduating from high school, she went to cosmetology school and obtained a license in Cosmetology.  She went on to earn an AA degree in General Studies and then a BA in Small Business and Entrepreneurship.  Beverly started writing in the year 2000, but was inspired to start publishing her work after the passing of her mother.  Beverly currently resides in the Orlando area with her husband and works in the school system.
