A Quick Guide to "The House of Bernarda Alba‪"‬

The playwright gave a subtitle to the play and it described the play as a play of women in the villages of Spain. It was the last play written by the author. Although the writing was over on 19th of June 1936, it could only be performed for the first time in the year 1945.

Lorca was murdered during the Spanish Civil War but in his lifetime the play was never performed. The play revolves around the events in the life of Bernarda Alba and her five daughters.
