A modern twist on Cinderella
Sara may live in a huge estate, surrounded by rich & privileged family members, but they treat her like a pauper. When she gets fired by her cousins, from a company she built from the ground up, she decides to sneak into a masked event to see how they’re coping without her. She meets a mystery man, actually enjoys herself, but has to run when it’s time to reveal identities. On the way out, she bumps into someone that triggers a traumatic flashback from her past, causing her to run hard & fast- not even stopping when she loses a shoe. All her mystery man has as a hint to her identity is a crystal studded shoe that was left in her wake.
There are a few mysteries in this one. Will past trauma bring present danger, will the mystery man find his Cinderella, what about Sara’s job?
Every Elise Noble book is easy to read, and almost impossible to put down, with characters you just want to meet in real life.
