A Shortcut Through the Shadows

When Jennet's rescue collie, Winter, receives a canine heroism award for saving a child from drowning in a pond, the subsequent publicity reaches the ear of a dangerous person.  Before long, the life of this gallant collie is in danger and Jennet herself is involved in a quest that may well end in her death.
