A Smile

     Joe Cirillo has written a novel about good versus evil, and peace versus turmoil, in the setting of the football team in .  Dwight King, despite being blessed with looks, intelligence, immense athletic talent, and money, is at war with himself and at war with his abusive father.  Josh Gerig has a physical disability and none of the advantages afforded by wealth, but he has a quiet peace and a clear purpose in his life that Dwight can’t understand.  There are two stories in one, which meet in the middle, and again at the end in exciting climax, both intertwined in the quest for Howe’s march to the state football championship.
