Stranded with a peculiar ensemble of companions—a former sitcom star transformed by his own demons, a tenacious wheelchair-bound girl brimming with defiance, and a tree-full of maniacal ravens who appear to guard something—Callie's reality twists and turns in ways she never thought possible.

As her past collides with the present, film producer Torbin Thurston, a man linked to Callie's personal life, arrives at the cabin, casting doubt on her trust in anyone. Whispers, ethereal and menacing, seep into her consciousness, leaving her alone in her awareness of the eerie messages that seem to resonate from within the very trees of Whispering Woods.
